Lauren Ross, FNP-BC

A Nurse Practitioner, has been working with Dr. Lewerenz for 5 years now.  After earning her undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University, she worked for multiple teaching hospitals including Royal Oak Beaumont, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and University of Michigan Health System. Lauren’s nursing background includes experience on med/surg and step-down units, in which she cared for people with multiple chronic diseases.  Her passion for teaching and disease prevention began with the realization that many of these hospitalizations could have been prevented. It was then that Lauren decided to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner, graduating from the master’s program at Oakland University, with a focus on family medicine in primary care. Following graduation and working within internal medicine and urgent care settings for several years, she started to look for outside opportunities that align with wellness. Fate brought her to Dr. Lewerenz, and she began her training in functional medicine under his guidance.

Lauren loves to help empower patients towards achieving optimal wellness.  Lauren feels that Functional Medicine is such a joy to practice because patients are engaged in their health, feel more balanced, look forward to their visits at Longevity Health Institute and learn what’s new and emerging in preventative medicine.

When not at work, you’ll find Lauren spending time with her husband Will and their three children: Olivia, Mackenzie, and Owen. They love spending the weekends exploring local activities, trying new restaurants, gathering with friends and family, or watching the kids’ sporting events. Lauren also enjoys riding her Peloton and competing in Orange Theory, stacking classes, and competing on the leaderboard. Lauren enjoys staying active and healthy while making the most of her time and enjoying this one precious life we are given.

Alexandra Bailey, FNP-BC

During her graduate school education, she was given the opportunity to work with Lauren Ross at Longevity Health and fell in love with functional medicine. After graduation Alexandra completed a fellowship with Dr. Lewerenz and joined the practice. Alexandra feels extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Lewerenz at Longevity Health because his practice philosophy for wellness and prevention is such an important service to our community.  Alexandra is passionate about health and nutrition. She is a certified yoga instructor and a volunteer for Make-a-wish Michigan. She lives in Royal Oak with her husband (Brad), Beagle mix (Jay), cat (Pandapple), and a 22-year-old turtle named Icarus.
